Performance Ensembles: Student Musician Ensembles and Faculty Ensembles

The Hill Country Youth Orchestras are very proud of our young musicians and their participation in our community. HCYO can provide student ensembles for local community services. Faculty ensembles are available for professional requirements.

Student Ensembles:

These performing groups are typically string quartets (four players) up to string octets (eight players). Please read further for student ensemble requirements:

  • Submit request for an ensemble at least three weeks in advance of the date the service is desired. See the forms page or contact the HCYO staff assistant.
  • Maximum performance time for student ensembles is 45 minutes. Services requiring longer performance times may be more appropriate for a professional faculty ensemble.
  • The performance location must be within a reasonable distance and should be temperature controlled (string instruments are very delicate and cannot perform in extreme cold or heat).
  • Chairs must be provided at the location for instrumentalists, unless only violin students are performing. HCYO and its student musicians provide their own music stands.
  • Suggested Donation for a student ensemble is $150 and can be made payable to the Hill Country Youth Orchestras. An adult representative of HCYO is in attendance at all student performances.
Faculty Ensembles:

Faculty of HCYO are professional musicians and are available to perform as duets, trios, and quartets and as solo performers. To hire a professional faculty ensemble or solo musician, please contact Patricia Lee.
