After almost 590 holes of golf, an elite collective of endurance golfers completed the first ever "Swing Fore Strings" benefit tournament for HCYO. The day finished with four golfers completing at least 100 holes a piece. On behalf of the entire organization, we would like to thank the golfers and those who made pledges for supporting of the Hill Country Youth Orchestras. We are already looking foreward to next year's tee time, see you on the green!
Fifteen local golfers are getting in shape to undertake a golf marathon for the Hill Country Youth Orchestras. At daybreak on Monday, March 27, these 15 pumped up souls will hit the links to "Swing Fore Strings" - a unique golf tournament benefiting the Hill Country Youth Orchestras (HCYO) whereby each golfer will play as many holes of golf as he or she can before the last light of day. Proceeds from the event will support scholarships, music lessons, sheet music, instruments and instrument maintenance, uniforms and the two free concerts HCYO performs at the Cailloux Theater. Golfers will be collecting per hole pledges to help raise funds for HCYO. To make a pledge, visit the HCYO homepage today and select a golfer or choose to have one selected for you!
